BREAKING: ISIS loyalist arrested in South Carolina for plotting terror attacks inside homeland. In past three years, 220 arrested in U.S. for ISIS plots. Here’s the latest.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

(Washington, D.C.) — The FBI has arrested a South Carolina man who joined the Islamic State, was conspiring to commit acts of unspeakable terror against Americans, and had just purchased a ticket to fly to the Middle East to get training and experience.

He was arrested in the Charleston, S.C., airport, just before boarding. (see details below)

Now consider this: in the past three years, 220 people have been arrested in the United States for allegedly being part of ISIS plots. Last year alone, the number was 37, or an average of three per month.

Imagine the horrors that could have been inflicted inside the homeland if these 220 terrorists hadn’t been identified and captured in time.

The news comes amidst heart-wrenching images of Syrian children who this week suffocated to death, foaming at the mouth, because chemical weapons — sarin gas — were used to kill them and their families. Didn’t the…

Vanita Gupta loves her some black folk

The Insomniac Libertarian

Vanita Gupta, the Eric Holder hire charged with investigating racism in Ferguson, Missouri, became a bête noir of the conservativeblogosphere this week for blaming all criminality and anti-social behavior on slavery.

As a Democratic Party minion, this is much more convenient for her than blaming the problems of black America on the dependency created by the welfare state, the unemployment created by the regulatory state, or by the erosion of human capital created by Ms. Gupta’s party’s ongoing tribute to its slavery-loving past, the kidnapping of poor black and brown children to be sold to the educrat cartels in exchange for donations to Democratic Party campaigns.

Ms. Gupta may actually have more sympathy for African Americans than her former boss, Eric Holder.  He actually worked for the DC based law firm back in 2004 that spun the story for the city government when it was discovered that DC had…

Rand Paul for Senate

I think it’s time we do something about it about our $19 trillion dollar debt, don’t you?

We need cuts.

We need reforms.

And I need to get to Washington for another term to make sure I’m there to fight for them.

I believe one of my most important jobs in the Senate is to rein in the wasteful spending in Washington.

I take my responsibility to expose waste and save taxpayer dollars very seriously.
Our country cannot to continue business as usual with the budget.
I’ve been labeled the “most frugal lawmaker in Congress” and I’m happy to uphold that title.

Earlier this week I asked the budget committee to include my findings from ‘The Waste Report’ in the 2017 budget.

We should be protected from waste. When the government spends our money, we deserve to know exactly how it was spent.

As it stands, the Federal Government has racked up over $19 trillion in federal debt, over 100 percent of our nation’s Gross Domestic Product. That comes out to over $60,000 per person alive today.

They’ve been spending $1000 here, and a couple thousand there, adding up to billions wasted. And we have to pay it back.

This is a real problem that cannot be ignored.

During my time in the Senate, I’ve proposed three budgets that balance within five years.

Today, I’m asking for your support to make sure these critical proposals are put on the desk of the Budget Committee in my next term.

I will continue to fight for taxpayers for more oversight, more transparency, and less spending.

I hope I can count on you to stand with me today to help make sure I am elected to another term for Kentucky this November.

In Liberty,
Rand Paul

Trump and the Country Class

President Obama has a pen, and he hasn’t been afraid to use it. (His transformational writing instrument of choice is really a stubby, unsharpened pencil with a well-worn eraser, but that’s another story.)

Presidential candidate Trump,…
