Congress reopens government, suspends debt ceiling, fails to address fiscal reality

Late last night Congress congratulated itself for temporarily reopening the government for 90 days and suspending the debt ceiling until February, with exactly zero plans to address the nation’s addiction to spending. The measure overwhelmingly passed both houses (81-18 in the Senate, 285-144 in the House) and President Obama immediately signed it into law. Because this fix was temporary, we will be back in the same place in 90 days.
Don’t like how they voted? Call them (202-224-3121) and be sure to let them know its time to stop the madness. Our national debt is nearly $17 Trillion and climbing with no end in sight.
See everyone back in 90 when the circus continues!
